Hi,I’m Anzel.
Yoga teacher, mum, and passionate guide through the beautifully wild world of pregnancy, postpartum and early parenthood. With over a decade of experience teaching in some of Sydney’s biggest and most-loved studios, I bring both expertise and empathy to every class. I know firsthand that this season of life can be magical, raw, and everything in between. That’s why I create space for parents and parents-to-be to move, breathe and reconnect — with their bodies, their babies, and their inner strength.
My teaching is grounded in extensive training across Vinyasa Flow, Hatha and Yin yoga, and inspired by the generous wisdom of my teachers — Annie Carpenter, Brad Hay and Duncan Peak. I have a deep respect for functional anatomy and intelligent sequencing, and I’m here to help you move in ways that feel good, make sense, and support your long-term wellbeing.
In addition to my yoga training, I am also completing a Masters degree in Art Psychotherapy, due to graduate in 2025.
My skills in both movement and mental health management allows me to support my students holistically — body, mind and heart. My classes are grounded in trauma-sensitive principles and informed by a mental health lens, offering a space that is safe, nurturing, and deeply supportive of your inner world. Why? Because pregnancy and new parenthood can be incredibly demanding — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. I also understand that in the world of childbearing, there is often hurt that goes unseen and unspoken. Fertility challenges, birth trauma, loss, identity shifts — all of these experiences can leave a lasting imprint. I aim to hold space for the whole spectrum of this journey — the joy, the grief, the confusion, and the transformation — with compassion, understanding, and care.
It is well known that community is one of the most important pillars of mental health — especially during times of transition.
I’m deeply passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported and connected. Whether it’s through shared movement, open conversation, or simply being in the presence of others walking a similar path, I strive to foster real and meaningful connection in every class.
Whether you’re growing a baby, nurturing a newborn, or finding your feet as a parent, I’m here to support you — with movement, breath, creativity and a whole lot of heart. I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
My credentials
